Auburn University at Montgomery Athletics

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery’s Reese Cauley was named the Warhawk of the Week after she threw a complete game shutout against No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne. 

The Freshman from Elba, Ala. picked up her first career win in the circle for the No. 6 AUM softball team. Cauley went seven innings, allowed just one hit and tossed eight strikeouts in her debut. She would also add three hits and an RBI at the plate in the same game.

The Warhawks picked up a pair of top 25 wins over the weekend at the Gulf Shores Invitational. They took down No. 9 Rogers State in run-rule fashion, 9-0 and No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne 6-0. 

Up next, AUM will travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the Embry-Riddle Tournament and face Embry-Riddle, Florida Tech and Newberry. The tournament starts on Friday, Feb. 7 at 12:30 p.m. CT.
