Auburn University at Montgomery Athletics

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery’s Nahia Izco was named the Warhawk of the Week after she went 3-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles last week. 

The Senior from Spain picked up her sixth doubles win on the year after getting two wins last week over Spring Hill and Christian brothers.
In doubles, the pair of Izco and Melissa Yakup Pour hold a 9-0 record on the year and went 3-0 last week to remain unbeaten. 

As a team, AUM women’s tennis ranked No. 26 in the latest ITA national polls with a 7-4 overall record and 1-1 GSC record. As the season comes down the stretch, the Warhawks have five remaining matches and all are conference opponents. 

AUM will host Lee this Friday at 10 a.m. for Faculty and Staff Appreciation. Lee’s women’s tennis team 10-0 on the year and leads the GSC at 4-0 in conference play.
