Auburn University at Montgomery Athletics

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery’s Chloe Baynes was named the Warhawk of the Week after leading the No. 6 ranked softball team to a sweep over Delta State.

The Junior from Tallassee, Alabama posted a .700 batting average and .769 on-base percentage with six runs scored and seven stolen bases across the three games in Cleveland, Miss. 

Baynes is the reigning Gulf South Conference Player of the Week and was named to the 2025 NFCA Player of the Year watchlist. She is tied for the conference lead with 33 stolen bases this season and holds the sixth best batting average at .398.

AUM will close out the regular season this weekend and host Montevallo for Senior Day. The Gulf South Conference Championship is set to start on Wednesday, April 30 in Oxford, Ala. 

AUM is under consideration for the NCAA South Region Tournament. The first rankings came out on Wednesday, April 16 and the second batch of ranking will release on Wednesday, April 23.
