MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team fell at home on senior day to Montevallo University 2-0 Wednesday night.
NOTES
• AUM fell to 2-12 on the year, while Montevallo improved 10-3.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Senior
Alan Harwell led the way for the Warhawks with four of the teams seven shots during the match with one being on frame.
• Freshmen
Alexis Arriaga and
Simon Van Rheeden each added a shot during the game.
• Sophomore
Nick Davis provided the final shot for the Warhawks, which hit off the right post.
• Steven Rocca and Kevin Francis led the way for the Falcons with one goal each during the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first thirty minutes of play, however the Falcons struck first in the 35
th minute on a long cross from Keller that found Rocca in the box to give Montevallo a 1-0 lead.
• Three minutes later, Montevallo struck again on a cross from the right side of the goal line off the foot of Rocca to Francis who struck the loose ball in the box to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead heading into the half.
• AUM had its best chance of the night when Davis made a move past a defender from the left side of the 18, and curled a shot that hit the right post inches away from putting the Warhawks on the board.
• Despite acquiring nine corner kicks in the second half, the Warhawks were unable to net a goal as Montevallo took the 2-0 win in Montgomery.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• AUM finished the match with seven shots, and put two on frame. The Warhawks acquired six of these in the second half
• Montevallo finished the match with 16 shots, and put seven on frame.
• AUM tallied all nine of its corner kicks in the second half of the match. Montevallo finished the match with 14, and recorded 10 in the first half.
• Montevallo totaled two saves on the night, while AUM picked up five.

• The Warhawks will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 27, when they host the University of West Florida at home for. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m.
