Warhawks To Travel To West Florida On Thursday

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team will travel to Pensacola, Fla., on Thursday evening to take on Gulf South Conference foe West Florida in a contest set to begin at 6 p.m.

About the Warhawks
AUM enters the contest with an overall record of 1-15 and a league mark of 1-8. The Warhawks are coming off of a 6-0 setback to Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon, and will be playing in their penultimate contest of the season.
 
Sophomore forward Tiuri Schieving leads the team in goals with four while fellow striker forward Jesus Escalera leads the team in assist with three. Sophomore defender Vilhjalmur Runarsson leads the team in shots with 15 and shots on goal with 10.
 
Senior goalkeeper Stephen Ingram is third in the GSC in saves with 70 on the season.
 
The Warhawks fell to UWF last season, 5-0, at home in the AUM Soccer Complex.
 
About the Argonauts
West Florida is currently 6-6-1 on the year with a 4-4-1 mark in league play. The Argonauts are riding a two-match win streak with victories overall Christian Brothers and Union this past weekend.
 
The Argonauts are currently eighth in the league standings are looking to secure a spot in the upcoming Gulf South Conference Tournament.
 
Junior Sergio Otalora leads the team in goals with three and shots on goal with 15. Four other Argonauts are tied for second on the team in goals with two apiece.
 
Up Next
The Warhawks will travel to Spring Hill College on Saturday, Oct. 28, for their final game of the season. Game time is set for 1 p.m. on the campus of the Badgers.
