JACKSON, Tenn. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team tallied a season-high five goals from five different players in their 5-0 shutout win over the Bulldogs of Union University in Gulf South Conference action on Thursday, Oct. 25.
NOTES
- With the win, AUM improves to 3-11 on the year, and 3-9 in GSC play.
- The win over Union brings the Warhawk's all-time mark to 2-2 against the Bulldogs.
Standout Performers

Ruby Mendez led the way for AUM on the night, with both a goal and an assist. Mendez also registered two shots in the game.

Mayson Jaindl took a team-high three shots, to go along with a goal scored and a team-best two shots on goal.

Agnes Edlund and
Allison Singleterry all also contributed for a goal in the contest.

Fabiana Alborghetti recorded AUM's other assist on the evening.
- In goal,
Dejon Fletcher (3-6) grabbed six saves in just over 73 minutes of play, while
Felicia Wester picked up a pair of saves in just over 16 minutes of relief work between the posts.
How it Happened
- Mendez kick started the first-half scoring frenzy, when she found the back of the net in the 15th minute, for her 15th score of the season. Alborghetti helped set up the goal.
- The Warhawks would go on to double their lead in the 34th minute, on Edlund's first goal of the year.
- Just minutes after Edlund's goal, Singleterry would find the back of the net, to extend AUM's lead to 3-0 in the 36th minute and give them sufficient breathing room heading into halftime.
- The Warhawks would see a pair of goals in the second half, with Fernandez netting her first goal of the year in the 63rd minute, and Jaindl scoring her sixth of the year in the 70th minute.
