MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer squad will host Southern Wesleyan University out of Conference Carolinas on Thursday evening at the AUM Soccer Complex, as the Warhawks and Warriors will open the 2018 season with a match set for 7 p.m.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks were picked to finish 12th in the Gulf South Conference in the preseason coaches poll, with freshmen
Alexander Kraus and
Phillip Spickenbaum being named the top newcomers for AUM. The Orange & Black will play their first four matches at home this season, taking on Sunshine State Conference foes Florida Tech, Barry University and Palm Beach Atlantic at the AUM Soccer Complex.
About the Warriors
SWU was picked to finish sixth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll after going 6-10-3 last season with a 4-4-3 mark in league play. The Warriors return leading goal scorer Grant Kiker, who tallied seven goals and one assist in 2017. SWU did lose their second leading goal scorer Sergio Tapia to graduation. Tapia tallied five goals and an assist for the Warriors in 2017.
Senior Miguel Uribe returns in goal for SWU after starting 18 of 20 contests in 2017, tallying 126 saves in 1,940 minutes in the net.
