Women’s Cross Country Finishes 12th At Falcon Invitational

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's cross country notched a 12th place overall finish at the 2018 Falcon Invitational hosted by the University of Montevallo, finishing eighth among NCAA Division II institutions at the event.
 
NOTES
• A total of six Gulf South Conference squads were at the event, with AUM finishing ahead of West Alabama and West Georgia.
• AUM also finished ahead of region rival Tuskegee.
• There were a total of 195 runners in the event, representing 22 teams.
 
INDIVIDUAL FINISHES
Benisse Inamahoro paced the Warhawks once again, running a time of 20:37.44 in the 6k to finish 47th overall.
Isabella Gyori ran a time of 20:45.39 to come in 51st.
Gladys Rutto finished 64th with a mark of 21:07.55
Tanishya Jones earned a mark of 22:30.63 to come in 105th.
Victoria McCurry was right behind Jones, finishing 106th with a mark of 22:32.19, rounding out the top five finishes for AUM.
Danielle Riggs ran a time of 23:59.12 to come in 144th.
• Savanna Karl finished 158th with a time of 24:53.05.
 
UP NEXT
The Warhawks will next be in action on Saturday, Sept. 22 when they travel to Nashville, Tenn., to take part in the Trevecca DII Showcase Invitational hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University. The race will take place at the Vaughn's Gap Course in Nashville.
