MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team will host a pair of Gulf South Conference matches this weekend, with a 7:00 p.m. matchup against Shorter University on Friday, Oct. 25 and a 3:30 p.m. contest with Lee University on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Prior to the Warhawk's match against Shorter on Friday, the 2019 senior class will be recognized as a part of Senior Day.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (7-3-2, 4-0-2) will look to keep their nine match unbeaten streak, their longest such streak since the 2013 season, alive this weekend with a pair of pivotal GSC matchups. The Warhawks currently sit third in the Gulf South Conference, just two points off of Mississippi College in second and three points behind first-place West Florida.
The Warhawks knocked off in-state rival University of Montevallo 1-0 at home their last time out on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in GSC play. Junior midfielder
Lucas Batistela delivered the game-winning goal for AUM with 38 second left on the clock to help secure the victory.
The Orange and Black held their number-six ranking in the most recent edition of the United Soccer Coaches south regional rankings, marking for the fourth week in a row that the Warhawks made an appearance in the weekly poll.
Through 12 matches, the Warhawks have netted 18 goals, for an average of 1.50 per contest. AUM ranks among the top five teams in the Gulf South in both overall shots taken (163) and shots per game (13.58), while ranking second in the conference in corner kicks taken (70).
Thomas Carlile and
Renan Diniz both lead AUM with four goals scored on the season, while Carlile leads the Warhawks with 12 points and Diniz leads the Orange and Black, along with the GSC, with three game-winning goals.
Arnaud Baron and Carlile both pace the AUM attack with four assists apiece.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Warhawks rank third in the conference with just 11 goals surrendered on the season and a team goals against average of 0.92. The Warhawk backline has given up just three goals over their last seven matches.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Alexander Kraus (7-1-2) has posted four shutouts in 2019, and ranks third in the GSC with a 0.66 goals against average and a save percentage of 83 percent. Kraus leads all GSC keepers with a 0.459 goals against average in conference contests in 2019.
The Warhawks bring an all-time series advantage of 10-2 over Shorter, including victories over the Hawks in their last three matches. AUM brings a 14-5-2 series record into their matchup with Lee.
ABOUT THE HAWKS
Shorter University (4-7-2, 0-5-2 GSC) comes into their contest with AUM having lost four of their last five matches, including 2-1 loss at Union in GSC play their last time out on Sunday, Oct. 20.
The Hawks currently rank first in the GSC with 32 goals netted in 2019. Three Hawks have scored five or more goals on the season, including Thallison Alex (5), Val Evans (7), and conference goal-scoring leader Jackson Wheatley (9).
Felix Guijosa leads the conference with five assists, while Alex ranks second on the team with four.
The Shorter defense is currently averaging 2.23 goals allowed per game through 13 matchups. Goalkeeper Matthew Shorrocks (2-3-2) has seen the bulk of playing time in goal, posting a 1.59 GAA.
ABOUT THE FLAMES
Lee University (7-4-2, 3-3-1 GSC) heads into the weekend having knocked off Christian Brothers 4-1 in Memphis, Tenn. their last time out on Sunday, Oct. 20.
The Flames currently lead all GSC schools with 196 shots taken on the year. Lee has scored 22 goals in 14 matches, for a pace of 1.6 per game.
Jared McWhorter (7) and Tristan Lyle (5) have combined for 12 of the Flame's scores, with McWhorter ranking third in the conference in goals scored. Eemeli Makela leads the Flame attack with four assists.
The Flames rank fourth in the GSC with 14 goals allowed on the season, for a mark of one allowed per contest. Flame goalkeeper Daniel Hrenko (6-4-2) brings a 1.10 GAA into the weekend.
Prior to their matchup with AUM, the Flames will take on the University of Montevallo on Friday, Oct. 25 in Montevallo, Ala.
