MONTGOMERY, Ala.  --- The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team put a bow on their 2019 season on Saturday, Nov. 9, with a 2-1 loss to the Lady Bulldogs of Union University in Gulf South Conference action.
 
Prior to kickoff, seniors Trinity Prater, Ruby Mendez, Chelsie China and Allison Singleterry were recognized for their career accomplishments as a part of "Senior Day."
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Mendez logged the Warhawk's lone goal on the day, marking for her 10th of the season. Mendez finishes her AUM Career with 52 career goals, the third most in AUM Women's Soccer history. 
- Milian Mollison took a team-high three shots on the day, while also accounting for the assist on Mendez's goal.
- Mayson Jaindl registered a pair of shots for AUM in the game, with both coming on frame.
- Dejon Fletcher (1-10-1) played all 90 minutes for AUM in goal, while three saves.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bulldogs would get their first goal of the game in minute number 15, on a cross by Tiffany Linser that found the foot of Madison Wirth.
- AUM would get a pair of close looks in the first but could not find the equalizer. Their first chance came in minute number 22, on a shot from Jaindl inside the box that found the Lady Bulldog keeper, with their second look coming in the 34th minute on a shot from Mollison inside the box that missed just wide.
- The Warhawks would eventually get their equalizer early in half number two, when Mendez took a well-played ball from Mollison into the box and found nylon for the score in minute number 47.
- Union would go on to score the game-winner in minute 62, when Linser hit Iris Seamster in stride to set up the go-ahead strike.
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- The Warhawks were outshot by the Lady Bulldogs on the day, 15-6.
- The Warhawks put up six shots on goal, with three shots in the first half, and three in the second. 
- Union took five corner kicks, while AUM took two.
- The Warhawks were tagged for seven fouls in the game, while the Lady Bulldogs where whistled for eight.
