Signage will be provided, along with gameday personnel to facilitate proper usage of entrance and exit points.
SEATING
All seats will be socially distanced in the arena. Spectators will be directed to either the second-floor bleachers or the chairback seating behind the scorer's table upon admission to the Athletics Complex. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
CONCESSIONS
Concessions will not be sold at home AUM basketball games during the 2020-21 academic year.
POSTGAME
All spectators will be asked to leave the facility immediately upon completion of the contest. Players, coaches, athletic trainers, and gameday personnel will not be allowed to gather with spectators inside the building.
The women's basketball team will host Shorter University on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 4:00 p.m. from the AUM Gymnasium, while the men's team will host West Georgia in their season opener on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 6:00 p.m.
For the 2020-21 academic year, the Gulf South Conference will implement a 20-game mirrored schedule in basketball, with the men and women playing at opposite sites, eliminating all doubleheaders.
The GSC will additionally utilize divisional play. The schedule will feature a combination of single game matchups and two-game series against the same opponents on consecutive days at the same location. The format is intended to streamline testing protocols and reduce travel costs.
Additional guidelines and recommendations for COVID-19 basketball gameday operations can be found on the NCAA's website.
