MACON, Ga. --- The Auburn Montgomery women's tennis team cruised their way to a 6-1 exhibition victory over Middle Georgia State on Saturday, Feb. 1.  
 
The Warhawks were able to claim the doubles point by taking two of three flights to begin the day. Tonja Foessmeier/Maria Casas defeated Clara Desboilles/Rebecca Lopez 6-2 in the number one matchup, while Alba De la Torre/Julia Enderink knocked off Anna Ruiz Masip/Steffany Bermudez 6-3 in the number two matchup.
 
In singles, De La Torre (6-3, 6-2), Mustre (6-4, 6-4), Enderink (7-6, 6-3) and Isabella Pinto (7-5, 6-2) all bested their opponents in straight sets. 
 
The women's tennis team will kick off their 2020 campaign on Friday, Feb. 14 when the host UT-Tyler from the AUM Tennis Complex at 9:00 a.m.
