Milledgeville, Ga. – Senior outfielder
Parker Pinholster became the first player in program history with 100 stolen bases with a steal in the Warhawks 11-3 victory over Georgia College on Sunday night. The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team also defeated Coker 4-0 in game one.
NOTES
- The Warhawks bring their 2020 record to 3-1.
- AUM has now played as many games as they have gotten cancelled this season.
- Newcomer
Molly Cobb tallied five RBI over two games, including her first career hit and homerun.
- The Bobcat Classic marks the final regular season neutral site game of 2020.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS GAME 1

Abby Krueger tallied an RBI in game one and threw out two runners trying to steal second base.
- Cobb recorded her first collegiate hit with a two-run single.
- Freshman
Alanna Goble threw her first complete game shutout, allowing three hits and striking out 11.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- All the offense from the first game against Coker College came within the first two innings of action. After the second inning, both pitching staffs settled in and dominated the opposing batters for the remainder of the game.
- AUM cracked open the game in the first inning when Krueger executed a squeeze play to bring home
Olivia Aycock to score the game's first run. The Warhawks moved to 2-0 at the time when scoring first.
- The Orange & Black's offense would not go quietly in the first inning, as Cobb came to the plate with runners at second and third. The first basemen was able to rip a single to the center fielder, bringing home Krueger and
Jaycie Walker.
- Coker stopped the bleeding in the top of the first, but AUM wanted to add more runs in the top half of the second inning. With the bases loaded and nowhere to put Walker, the senior designated player drew a bases loaded-walk to push the Warhawk lead to 4-0.
- The Cobras were able to limit the damage to just one run in the second inning and then proceeded to retire the next 16 Warhawk batters.
- Goble, meanwhile, continued her incredible start to her college career. There was only one batter who was able to reach second base for Coker. Goble was able to register five-consecutive strikeouts in the fourth and fifth innings, on her way to an 11-strikeout performance.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE GAME 1
- Coker was able to strikeout four Warhawks, while AUM netted 11 strikeouts.
- AUM drew two walks, including Walker's RBI.
- The Warhawks left four runners on base, while Coker left three.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS GAME 2
- Pinholster registered her 100
th career steal.
- Cobb launched her first career home run.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
- The AUM bench must have mentioned they were hungry because in the top of the second Cobb took a pitch and connected on a fastball that she deposited over the right field wall for her first homer of the year, and the first two runs of the game for AUM.
- Aycock used her speed a few batters later to induce an RBI fielder's choice that scored Duschell from third base to extend the AUM lead to 3-0 early in the game.
- The third inning saw more offensive production from the Orange & Black. With
Allie Miller and Cobb in scoring position, Duschell was able to line a ball up the middle to score the Warhawk newcomers to give AUM a six-run advantage.
- The Bobcats were able to finally get a run of
Chanel Newcomer in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double, but the Warhawks were able to respond in the fifth with a five-run inning.
- Scoring began in the fifth with a
Maddie Parks two-run single over the third basemen's head to reclaim a seven-run lead. A few batters later Walker laced a double into left center, scoring Krueger and
Kasidy Thompson.

Kendall Tucker thought she had a home run off the bat on a ball that she launched off the bottom of the left-center wall to bring home Walker and give AUM the 11 runs they needed to defeat Georgia College 11-3.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE GAME 2
- Georgia College struck out twice in the game, while the Warhawks were not called out on strikes.
- The Bobcats gave AUM three free passes, while the Orange & Black issued two
- AUM left eight runners on base, while GC left three on.

"It was a solid day for us. We pitched it well all day, defended well all day, and really exploded offensively in the second game. It was nice to see contributions from new players and returners."
UP NEXT
AUM will play their final series before conference play begins next weekend. The Orange & Black will travel to Albany, Ga., to take on the Albany State Golden Rams on Wednesday Feb. 12 at 1 and 3 p.m.
