AUM Athletics Announces COVID-19 Game Day Guidelines for 2021-22 Basketball Seasons

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery department of athletics announced on Monday, Nov. 22 its COVID-19 game day guidelines for the 2021-22 men's and women's basketball seasons.

As noted in the guidelines below, policies are subject to change as institutional and local policies evolve.

FREE AUM Warhawk Athletic Club Members with Pass
FREE AUM Students, Faculty and Staff with Warhawk ID
FREE Children 12 and Under

To avoid transmission of and exposure to COVID-19, individuals who answer "yes" to any of the below screening questions should NOT come to campus and should seek medical assistance:
  • Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
  • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours (exceeding 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit)?
  • Have you experienced new loss of taste or smell?
  • Have you experienced vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?

Basketball COVID-19 Spectator Game Day Policies
  • Should I bring a mask with me?  
    • YES.  Always have a mask with you.
  • Are masks required in the Athletics Complex?  
    • YES.  Institutional policy requires that you wear a mask indoors.  Regardless of the proximity you are in to other people (even more than 6 ft away), you are ALWAYS required to wear a mask.  
  • Is social distancing required in the Athletics Complex?  
    • NO.  However, we encourage that you are considerate of those who are around you and "Watch Your Six", outside of your personal travel party.

One reminder will be provided to patrons who do not adhere to our protocols.  Consistent failure to comply with masking requirements or any COVID-19 protocols will result in removal from the facility by AUM Campus Police.  Policies are subject to change as institutional, local, NCAA and GSC protocols evolve.

Consistent failure to comply with masking requirements or any COVID-19 protocols will result in a formal report made to the respective AD of the offending institution, as well as the conference commissioner. Policies are subject to change as institutional, local, NCAA and GSC protocols evolve.
