AUM Athletics Announces Spring COVID-19 Protocols

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery department of athletics has announced the COVID-19 protocols that will be in effect for 2021 Spring Volleyball, Soccer, Tennis, Softball and Baseball seasons.    
 
ADMISSION  
Admission to home AUM games for the 2021 Spring seasons will be free of charge. 
Fan capacity at each venue will be limited as follows: 
Volleyball (Athletics Complex):  300 
Softball (Softball Complex): 200 
Baseball (Baseball Complex): 200 
Soccer (Soccer Complex): 250 
Tennis (Tennis Complex)100 
Admission gates will open 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time of all home games. Capacity will be tracked and entrance will be permitted to spectators on a first-come, first-serve basis.  In order to enter and remain in any of AUM's athletics venues, a mask must be worn at all times and social distancing will be enforced.  
 
COVID-19 SELF-SCREENING CHECKLIST 
All attendees to athletic events at AUM will be asked to review the screening checklist before arrival to campus:  
  • Have you received a positive COVID-19 test in the past 10 days?  
  • Do you have a fever greater than 100.4 F?  
  • Do you have new muscle aches not related to another medical condition or another specific activity?  
  • Do you have a new or worsening cough that is not related to another medical condition?  
  • Do you have a sore throat, runny nose and/or congestion not related to another medical condition?  
  • Do you have, or are you suffering from, shortness of breath that is not related to another medical condition?  
  • Do you have a recent loss of smell or taste?  
  • Do feel nauseous or have a new onset of vomiting and/or diarrhea not related to another medical condition?  
  • Have you had recent close contact in the last 14 days with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?  
 
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, immediately self-isolate and contact your medical provider. Please do not attend any program, activity, or event at a campus facility.  
 
ENTRANCE TO AUM ATHLETICS'  VENUES  
All spectators will enter and exit through only the main entrance gates at the Soccer, Softball and Baseball complexesFor volleyball matches, all spectators will enter through the three designated doors on the far right of the front entrance to the Athletics Complex and will exit through the front lobby using the designated doors. The AUM Tennis Complex does not have a designated entrance due to the layout of the facility, but fan capacity will be tracked by game day staff.   
Signage will be provided at all venues, along with gameday personnel to facilitate proper usage of entrance and exit points.    
 
SEATING  
All seating will be identified with markers so that physically distancing can be accomplished in bleacher and chairback areas.  Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Portable seating is allowed in designated grass areas and should incorporate physical distancing.    
 
CONCESSIONS  
Concessions will not be sold at home AUM games or matches during the 2021 Spring season.   
 
WEATHER DELAYS, BREAKS BETWEEN DOUBLE-HEADERS & POSTGAME  
Players, coaches, athletic trainers, and gameday personnel will not be allowed to gather with spectators inside the venues before, during, between or after games and matches. All spectators will be asked to leave the facility immediately upon completion of the contest.
