MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- For the second consecutive season, the Auburn University at Montgomery men's soccer team finds itself in the Gulf South Conference semifinals.
The Warhawks, by virtue of a 2-0 road victory over the University of Montevallo in the quarterfinal round, earn a rematch with the University of West Florida on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 3:30 p.m. at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala.
The two teams battled to 110 minutes of scoreless soccer in one of last year's semifinal matchups before UWF advanced to the championship game 3-1 on penalty kicks. The 11th-ranked Argonauts also secured a come-from-behind, 2-1 win at home in this year's regular season over the Warhawks.
West Florida is the tournament's top overall seed in this year's conference tournament and advanced to the semifinal round with a 2-0 win over Spring Hill College. The Argonauts also have the distinction of being the only home team to win its quarterfinal matchup.
Phillip Spickenbaum and Aristarchus Oluwutuyi each registered their season-leading sixth goals for the Black and Orange in the road win over Montevallo, and goalkeeper
Alexander Kraus led an AUM backline that turned in its third clean sheet of the campaign.
The Warhawks, 8-5-3 overall, run their winning streak to four games and improved to 5-1-2 on the road.

WARHAWKS IN THE POLLS
- The Warhawks remain as the No. 5 spot in this week's United Soccer Coaches' South Region Poll.
ALL-GSC WARHAWKS
- Phillip Spickenbaum, Jamos Hauk, and Charlie Elliott each earned a Second Team All-GSC spot for AUM. Spickenbaum and Hauk made a return trip to the ranks of All-GSC, while Elliott earned his first All-GSC nod.
- Spickenbaum, a Second Team All-GSC selection for the second consecutive season, is tied for the team lead in goals with five. Four of those goals came in conference action, which tied for fifth in the regular year.
- Hauk joins Spickenbaum as a back-to-back Second Team All-GSC selection. He is the team leader in minutes played this season with 1,338 and owns a pair of game-winning goals, delivering three points for the Warhawks against Union and Spring Hill.
- Elliott cracks the list for the Warhawks for the first time in his career. Earning Second Team All-GSC honors as a defender, Elliott is one of only five players on the team to log over 1,000 minutes, and also totaled six points with two goals and two assists.
FIVE ON THE ARGOS
- The Argonauts are ranked No. 11 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll and are also the No. 3 team in the United Soccer Coaches South Region Poll.
- West Florida has won five consecutive games and has not been beaten since they lost to Rollins College 2-1 on Sept. 2. In that span, the Argos are 10-0-3.
- Kainan Dos Santos is the team's leading goal scorer with 10 goals and is the reigning GSC Offensive Player of the Year. He also leads the team in assists with six for a total of 26 points. Dos Santos has four game-winning goals for the Argos and leads a UWF offense scoring 2.25 goals per game, which is tops in the GSC.
- Dos Santos headlined a group of four Argos that earned spots on an All-GSC team. Dos Santos, a forward, and defender Fynn Geigle were First Team All-GSC selections, while defender Finn Werner and forward Keegan Ancelin were Second Team All-GSC honorees. Head coach Bill Elliott was also named GSC Coach of the Year.
- Defensively, Nicolas Meckien sports a 10-0-3 record for UWF. He has faced 93 shots and made 22 saves with a 75.9 save percentage. The Argos defense is only yielding 0.55 goals-per-game in Meckien's starts.
