COLUMBUS, Ga. – The 20
th ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker to seventh-ranked Columbus State on Friday morning, marking the team's first loss of the 2022 season.
AUM drops to 2-1 on the year after netting a doubleheader sweep yesterday. Columbus State, meanwhile, improves to 2-0 on the year after the win against the Warhawks.
The Warhawks dropped a hard-fought doubles point to open the match but rebounded in singles play. The match came down to the third slot in singles action but
Ana Villalvazo dropped her game in the second frame 6-7(3).
