SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The 33rd-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team claimed a hard-fought 6-1 victory over Gulf South Conference foe Christian Brothers on Wednesday afternoon in their second of a five-match road trip.
The Warhawks soar to 7-2 on the year and remain perfect in Gulf South Conference action with a 3-0 record. Christian Brothers suffers just their second loss of the season and now stand at 8-2 with a 3-2 mark in conference action.
Despite falling in the second doubles court to begin the match, AUM rallied in the first and third courts to claim a dramatic doubles victory as Estefania Garcia, and Sofia Navarro claimed a deciding 7-5 win in the Warhawks' top flight.
Christian Brothers was able to claim the first singles point to tie the match at 1-1, but wins in five other courts gave the Warhawks a commanding 6-1 victory over the Lady Bucs.

The Warhawks will play their third-straight match on the road tomorrow morning when they travel to Searcy, Arkansas, to take on #39 Harding in a non-conference match. The action against the Lady Bisons is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
