MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 38
th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team earned their 10
th win of the season on Saturday morning after dominating Gulf South Conference foe Delta State 7-0 at the AUM Tennis Complex.
The Warhawks improve to 10-4 on the season and remain unbeaten both at home and in Gulf South Conference play. The Lady Statesmen drop to 3-7 in 2022.
After
Estefania Garcia and
Sofia Navarro breezed through the first double flight, the key doubles point came down to the second position.
Isabella Pinto and
Alba De La Torre were able to outlast Delta State 7-6 after winning the tiebreak 7-4. The Warhawks were then able to cruise to a 7-0 sweep after earning singles victories in all six courts.

The Warhawks will go back on the road for their next match and head to Cleveland, Tennessee, to take on the Lee Flames. The action against the GSC opponent is slated to begin at 1 p.m on April 1.
