Softball Soars To Highest National Ranking In Program History

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team has been tabbed as the second-best team in the nation in the latest NFCA national polls marking the highest ranking AUM has received in the NCAA era.

The Warhawks have won 18 of their last 20 games and are coming off a weekend against then third-ranked Valdosta State, in which the Warhawks took two of three games against the Gulf South Conference rival.

AUM sports a 32-7 record overall in 2022 with a 15-1 home record, a 12-4 road mark, and a 5-2 record in neutral site games. The Warhawks jumped four spots and are ranked inside the top three for the first time since May of 2021.

The Warhawks join Valdosta State (7) and West Florida (20) as the only teams from the Gulf South Conference inside the top-25. AUM will return to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. to open a three-game series with Christian Brothers.
