Women's Tennis Tripped Up Against Third-Ranked Saint Leo

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 13th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team dropped a nonconference match against third-ranked Saint Leo University on Saturday at The VSU Tennis Courts by a final score of 4-2.

FIRST SERVE – DOUBLES 
  • Estefania Garcia and Regina Urbiola dropped the match at court one against Marta Vicens Miquel and Lavinia Lancellotti 6-0.
  • Ane Ibarra and Melissa Yakup Pour were defeated by Luzia Obermeier and Kamilya Shailina 6-3 at the second court. 
  • Court three was left unfinished after Saint Leo clinched the doubles point.
FIRST SERVE – SINGLES
  • Ana Villalvazo defeated Lancellotti 6-3, 6-2 for AUM to get a point. 
  • Regina Urbiola defeated Claudia Borbon Roca 6-3, 6-4 to get the second point. 
  • Marta Vicens Miquel defeated Garcia at the first court 6-0, 6-0. 
  • Obermeier defeated Yakup Pour 6-1, 6-2 at the third court. 
  • Nahia Izco was taken down by Shailina 7-5, 6-2 for SLU to clinch the match.
