HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team dropped game one of the Gulf South Conference series against the fourth-ranked University of Alabama in Huntsville 5-4 on Friday evening at Charger Park.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The two teams were scoreless through the first three innings and Kat Fallen and Gia Martin changed that with two homers. Martin's was a two-run shot and gave the Warhawks a 3-0 lead.
- UAH scored four runs in the fourth frame to take the lead.
- The Chargers added an insurance run in the sixth to extend the lead to 5-3.
- Chloe Derrick tried to start a rally with an RBI single that scored Shelby Edgeworth, but that would be all the Warhawks could score as UAH earned the 5-4 victory.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Morgan Ferguson (L, 11-5) absorbed the loss tossing 4.1 innings and allowed four runs on four hits. She struck five batters out and walked six.
- Alanna Goble worked the final 1.2 innings and gave up one earned run on two hits. She picked up a pair of strikeouts.

AUM and UAH will wrap up the conference series on Saturday, April 29 with a doubleheader at Charger Park beginning at noon.
