OXFORD, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team earned the 16-0 victory over the University of Montevallo in the loser's bracket of the Gulf South Conference Tournament at Choccolocco Park. The Warhawks will now take on the University of West Alabama 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 11 in the GSC Tournament on Friday, May 5.Â
The shutout victory is the third largest shutout victory by a team in GSC Tournament history.Â

HIGHLIGHTSÂ
- The Warhawks scored a run in the first inning on a sacrifice fly from Gia Martin, and added two more runs in the second frame thanks to RBI singles by Margaret Morgan and Chloe Baynes.
- Gia Martin added a solo home run to right, her 10th of the season, to expand AUM's lead.
- Chloe Derrick delivered a two RBI double in the fourth frame and then Martin cleared the bases with a three-run homer that made it 9-0.Â
- Margaret Morgan started a seven-run inning with a two-run homer. Kat Fallen tallied a two RBI double and it was followed by RBI doubles from Derrick and Martin. Haley Ann Frank closed the scoring with a single that brought Martin home to get the 16th run of the game.Â
IN THE CIRCLEÂ
- Avery Dickerson (W, 15-4) tossed five innings and gave up no runs on four hits.Â
