TAMPA, Fla. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's soccer team took a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute thanks to some nifty passing, but the University of Tampa Spartans converted a penalty kick to tie the game and leave the match in a 1-1 draw.
Yanis Lasri and Andrew Strait combined to find the foot of Franck Kouentchi in front of goal for the Warhawks, and the senior forward found the back of the net for his first goal of the season. With the tie against Tampa and the win over Saint Leo, the Warhawks come away with four points on the opening weekend.
