This week in AUM Athletics: NOV. 18-24

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Each week, the Auburn University at Montgomery Office of Athletics Communications previews the upcoming week with “This Week in AUM Athletics.” We've got just one home game this week, with Women's basketball hosting Lander on Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m. CT. Men's basketball will travel up to Birmingham on Monday to play UAB, with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT. Men's soccer awaits the NCAA selection show after garnering an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional.

  • The Warhawks secured the first GSC title in program history with a win in the championship 1-0, over West Florida.
  • They will await the NCAA Regional selection show on Monday, November 18 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
  • William Blake was named GSC All-Tournament team and MVP, while AUM was also represented on the all-tournament team with by Brayden Strait, Sean Keane and Adam Hanson.
  • Benjamin Hoffman accounted for lone goal in the 28th minute. Hoffman’s initial attempt was blocked by a UWF defender, before converting collecting it and finding the back of the net.

  • AUM women's basketball has dropped three straight and stands at (0-3,0-0)
  • They will host Lander on Saturday, November 23 with tipoff set for 2 p.m. CT.
  • Allasha Dudley leads the Warhawks in scoring, averaging 16 ppg, Danielle Luckey leads the team in rebounds at 8 a game. 
  • Lander is off to a 2-1 start to the season with wins over Mars Hill and Lenoir-Rhyne, and a loss to No. 14 Carson-Newman.
  • Quadaija Langley leads the Bearcats in scoring at 18 per game.
  • The Warhawks will travel to Birmingham this week for an exhibition against UAB at 6:30 p.m. CT.
  • The Warhawks sit at 2-2 on the year after splitting the two road games last week.
  • AUM is led by Malachi Rhodes averaging 12 points per game.
  • UAB is 2-2 this season with wins over Southern Miss. and Southern Louisiana. 
  • They are led by Yaxel Lendeborg who averages 20 points per game.
