THIS WEEK IN AUM ATHLETICS (FEBRUARY 12 - FEBRUARY 18)

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

  • AUM visits West Florida (Monday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m.), Union University (Thursday, Feb. 15 at 5:30 PM), and Christian Brothers University (Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.) this week.
  • The Warhawks have won eight games in a row, the second-best mark in the GSC, and have climbed to third in the GSC standings at 13-5 in conference action.
  • Allasha Dudley surpassed 1,000 career points as a Warhawk as she dropped 28 points against West Georgia.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

  • AUM visits West Florida (Monday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m.), Union University (Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 PM), and Christian Brothers University (Feb. 17 at 3 p.m.) this week.
  • Sam Youngblood poured in 29 points, on 7-of-12 shooting from three-point territory, in AUM's 81-77 loss against No. 7/8 West Georgia on Homecoming.
  • Malachi Rhodes ranks in a tie for third in rebounds per game (7.0), fourth in offensive rebounds (62), fifth in field goal percentage (50 percent), and second in free throw percentage (89 percent).

  • AUM secured its first series win of the year, taking two out of three from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
  • The Warhawks won game two 7-6 in walk-off fashion and dominated game three 7-1 to take the series
  • Tyrese Rooks, Brendan York, Cooper Doughman, Cole McWhorter, JC Tunnell, and Hayden Grier all recorded at least one multi-hit game in the three-game series.
  • AUM starting pitchers combined to allow just three earned runs in 16.2 innings on the weekend.
  • The Warhawks play twice in the midweek before heading to Valdosta, Ga. for the weekend. AUM hosts Georgia Southwestern State on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. before visiting Spring Hill on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. AUM then opens the GSC slate at Valdosta State on Friday and Saturday.

  • Men's and women's tennis each blanked Shorter University 7-0 on Homecoming to notch a win in their respective GSC openers.
  • Women's tennis hosts the University of West Alabama on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m.
  • Both AUM tennis teams visit Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn. on Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. in the second match of the GSC slate.

  • The Warhawks improved to 7-2 overall after a strong showing at the FIT Panther Invitational this past weekend.
  • AUM defeated Saint Anselm, Rollins, Barry, and Florida Tech to run its win streak to three games.
  • AUM's pitching staff allowed just 11 runs across 35 innings of work.
  • The black and orange open up GSC play against Valdosta State University with a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 17 beginning at noon. A single game follows on Sunday, Feb. 18 at noon.
