MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The No. 16 Auburn University at Montgomery softball team got back on track Thursday afternoon with a 8-3 victory at Christian Brothers University in game one of the Gulf South Conference series at Bland Field in Memphis, Tennessee.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Kat Fallen and Margaret Morgan hit solo homers in the second inning to give the Warhawks a 2-0 lead.
- Haley Ann Frank hit a triple on the right field line and scored Chloe Baynes in the third frame to scratch another run and it was followed by Molly Cobb hitting a two-run homer to make it 5-0 in favor of AUM.
- Whitney Wells drew a walk in the fourth inning and eventually scored on a CBU throwing error.
- AUM's lead grew to 7-0 in the fifth inning with Gia Martin hitting a solo homer.
- CBU got on the board in the sixth inning off a sacrifice fly.
- Ann Frank singled to right field and brought home Wells in the sixth inning to make it 8-1.
- The Lady Bucs hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to make it 8-3 and could not cross home plate again as the Warhawks claimed the 8-3 victory.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Brinkley Yevak (W, 5-1) earned the win tossing six innings and allowing three runs with one being earned on five hits. She struck four batters out and did not walk any batters.
- Avery Dickerson tossed the final inning and did not allow any hits or walk any batters.
