MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The No. 2 seed Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over the No. 5 seed Mississippi College to win the Gulf South Conference Championship on Monday afternoon in Montgomery, Alabama at Lagoon Park.
This win gives the Warhawks their first conference title in program history since joining the GSC and NCAA Division II ranks.

- Villalvazo helped the Warhawks take a quick 2-0 lead on court three defeating Cota with a final score of 6-2, 6-2.
- Yakup Pour dropped 1-6, 4-6 against Roberts over on court two.
- Ibarra and Hudson match was retired on court six after Hudson took the first set 7-5.
- On court one, Garcia picked up a 6-1, 7-6 win against Alas in a tough match.
- Mississippi College tied the game 3-3 on court five as Izco dropped 4-6, 0-6 to De Mata.
- On court four, Urbiola won in a three-set thriller that gave the Warhawks their first GSC Championship by defeating Geolier 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
