MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The AUM women's soccer team dropped its first match of the season, 1-0, to Clayton State at the AUM Soccer Complex on Sunday.
The Lakers got the game's only goal in the 66th minute, when Leah Angrell found herself alone in the box on a Hanna Karlsson feed from the left wing. Angrell flicked the ball from 12 yards over a charging Karla Guzman-Ortiz in goal and the ball found the net before the Warhawks could chase it down.

HIGHLIGHTS
- AUM had a scoring chance in the 19th minute when Laia Gonzalez had a header off a long free kick that was stopped by a diving Trinity Chastain for CSU.
- The Warhawks had another chance in the 86th minute when Chloe Wallace sent a ball into the box from the right flank that Chastain had jump to catch before a charging Warhawk would have connected with the ball.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Clayton State took 11 shots and put seven on goal, while all four of the Warhawks attempts were stopped by Chastain for the Lakers.
- AUM committed 112 fouls to nine by CSU.
- Wallace, Roser Badia, Lucy Thomas and Gonzalez each had a shot for the Warhawks.
- Guzman-Oritz made six saves for the Orange and Black.
