GREENSBORO, GA. - The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks women's golf team finished competition at the Newberry Women's Fall Invitational on Tuesday evening. The event was hosted by Newberry College at the Harbor Club Golf Course in Greensboro, Georgia.
The Warhawks finished tied for 9th place with a two round total of 690 (+114). Junior Ashley Nelson led the charge, being the first AUM golfer to finish top five individually.
The team title was claimed by Coker University with a two round total of 641 (+65). The individual title was settled by Coker's own Giselse Morna.Â
RESULTS
- The top placement for the Warhawks was Nelson with a two-round total of 156 (+9), tied for 3rd place with five birdies and one eagle.Â
- In a tie for 35th, Hailey Westmoreland finished with a total score of 177 (+33) having one birdie.Â
- Georgia Cater placed 38th and finished with a 178 (+34) on the two round total, hosting one birdie.Â
- Aubrie Medford carded a 179 (+35 ) through the two rounds, placing 39th for the Warhawks.Â
