AUM Names Wyatt Hall Associate AD for External Affairs

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery has hired Montgomery native Wyatt Hall as Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, the Warhawks announced Monday.

Wyatt joins AUM from the University of Montevallo, where he was Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs. A 2019 graduate of Montevallo, Hall has spent nearly a decade in college athletics at Montevallo, the University of Idaho and Jacksonville State University.

"As we continue to build the Warhawks brand, Wyatt will play a critical role in shaping how we connect with fans, alumni, and partners. His leadership will help us expand our visibility, drive revenue growth, and create new opportunities for our student-athletes and coaches," said AUM Director of Athletics Erik Maas. "Wyatt's experience and vision for connecting our programs with the community will evaluate our marketing, corporate partnerships, and overall brand presence. He understands how to tell our story and engage people in supporting our student-athletes. We are excited to welcome him to AUM and back to Montgomery."

Hall will oversee the AUM Athletic Communications Department and Marketing and Fan Engagement Department, while also working to grow AUM Athletics' corporate sponsorships. He will work with the Director of Athletics and AUM Office of Advancement to enhance and grow alumni and donor giving and assist coaches in fundraising for their programs. He will also oversee athletics ticketing, hospitality, concessions, and special events, such as the All-In for AUM campaign, AUM Hall of Fame, Warhawk Choice Awards, Senior Days, Homecoming, Graduation Breakfast and more.

"I'm honored to join Auburn University at Montgomery and contribute to the continued growth of AUM Athletics. This is an exciting time for the Warhawks, and I look forward to building strong relationships with our student-athletes, alumni, fans, and the Montgomery community to elevate our brand and enhance the overall experience of everyone involved," Hall said. "Thank you to Erik Maas, Dr. Stockton, and the entire search committee for extending this opportunity to me. I am excited to return to my hometown and hit the ground running as part of the Warhawk family."

Hall began his career at his alma mater as a student assistant and then full-time assistant in 2019 before taking his first NCAA Division I job at Idaho in October 2019 as assistant director of athletic communications, where he was the primary contact for four sports. He returned to Alabama in 2021 as a sports information specialist at Jacksonville State. In 2022 he returned to Montevallo as the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Communications and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations in July 2024.

In addition to his duties at Montevallo, Hall served as the Gulf South Conference Track & Field Administrative Liaison, a D2CCA South Region Volleyball coordinator, a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Regional voter and held a position on the NCAA Wrestling Rules Committee. He also served the community as a member of the Montevallo Main Street Board of Directors and was a member of the Economic Vitality Committee.
