HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -Â The No. 3 seed Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (10-5-3, GSC: 6-3-2) fell 6-3 to No. 2 seed the University of West Florida Argonauts (12-1-5, GSC: 7-0-4) in the Gulf South Conference semifinals on Friday night at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex Championship Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
The Argonauts took control of the match early with a pair of first-half goals.Â
Â
West Florida found its opening goal in the 29th minute and tallied its second goal in the 44th minute to take a 2-0 advantage into the halftime intermission.

Second Half
The Argonauts added a third goal in the 59th minute before the Warhawks began to claw back into the match.
Â
Robiston Lukau scored his fifth goal of the season to put the Warhawks on the scoreboard with a quick response in the 62nd minute.

AUM almost immediately trimmed the lead again, to 3-2, on a
Benjamin Hoffmann goal in the 64th minute. The score marked a team-high ninth goal of the campaign for Hoffmann.

The back-and-forth second half continued with another goal by the Argonauts, in the 68th minute, to take a 4-2 lead.

The Warhawks found another answer, however, as
Sean Keane's second goal of the season once again made it a one-score contest.

West Florida put the finishing touches on a semifinals win with a pair of Callum Edward goals in the closing 10 minutes to seal a trip to the GSC championship match.

UWF outshot AUM 12-7, including a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal.
