AUM Tops Edward Waters for Road Victory

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Soccer team ended the trip to Florida on a positive note, as the Warhawks defeated the Edward Waters University Tigers 3-2 Monday morning at Nathaniel Glover Stadium.

The win gave AUM (1-1-0) their first win of the 2025 season, while EWU fell to 0-2-0.

Michaelyn Manning opened scoring in the 21st minute with a goal in the lower right part of the net with assists from Giulia Wekesa and Chloe Wallace.

However, the Tigers evened the contest in the 36th minute off the foot of Dahlen Caberra to move the score to 1-1.

AUM responded with a goal just before the halftime break as Paula Galan Revuetta scored in the 43rd minute from an assist by Emmi Cook to go up 2-1.

Aisling Roche scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute to put the Warhawks ahead 3-1.

Edward Waters closed the gap to 3-2 in the 57th minute when Ellen Shurman scored with an assist from Cabrera, but neither team scored again as AUM went on to collect the victory.

Roche was the only Warhawk with multiple shots as she attempted two, with one being a shot on goal. Karla Guzman-Ortiz collected three saves in the net.

Both teams finished with seven total shots and five SOGs during the contest.
