BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly men's soccer awards Tuesday, with Auburn University at Montgomery goalkeeper
Jakob Buhrkuhl earning GSC Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and defender
Harrington Arnette earning GSC Defender of the Week honors for the first time this season.

LAST WEEK
Buhrkuhl and Arnette helped lead the Warhawks to a 1-0 road victory over Union to close the regular season and earn a share of the GSC regular-season title.
Â
Buhrkuhl started and played all 90 minutes in goal, recording four saves to preserve the shutout. The clean sheet marked his eighth of the season.
Â
Arnette also played all 90 minutes, helping anchor the Warhawk backline in the shutout victory. He recorded two shots, including one on target, while helping limit Union's scoring opportunities. The defensive performance marked AUM's eighth clean sheet of the season.
Â
ON THE SEASON
Buhrkuhl finished the regular season ranked first in the GSC with eight shutouts. He also ranked second in the conference with a 0.77 goals-against average and a .818 save percentage, establishing himself among the league's top goalkeepers.
Arnette has played an important role in AUM's defensive success, helping lead a backline that has recorded eight clean sheets this season. The Warhawks allowed just six goals through its 10-match conference slate, ranking first in the GSC.
The honor marks Buhrkuhl's fourth GSC Goalkeeper of the Week selection of the season and Arnette's first GSC Defender of the Week selection of the season.
