GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's golf team resumed its spring season at the Lady Bearcat Invitational. The event was hosted by Lander University at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, South Carolina.
 

The team leading the tournament over the first two rounds is No. 7 Lander University with a score of 588 (+10). The individual leading the tournament is Palm Beach Atlantic's Abby Smith, tallying a 142 (-2).
 

RESULTS

• Ashley Nelson paced the Warhawks, firing a two-round total of 151 (+7) to sit tied for 10th at the end of the day. 

• Aubrie Medford finished in 53rd with a 172 (+28) across two rounds.

• Kyleigh Gibson followed in 58th and posted a 182 (+38). 

• Hailey Westmoreland recorded a 187 (+43) to place 62nd. 

• Georgia Cater opened with an 85 (+35) in the first round before retiring. 
   

As a team, the Warhawks closed out the day in 10th place overall to wrap up day one with a two round total of 683 (+47). 

The tournament will conclude with the third round on Tuesday, March 24.
