GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's golf team closed out competition at the Lady Bearcat Invitational. The event was hosted by Lander University at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, South Carolina.

After carding a round three score of 229 (+51), the Warhawks placed ninth after finishing with a three-round total of 1022 (+158). 

The team title was claimed by No. 7 Lander University after posting a three-round total of 886 (+22). Individually, Montevallo's Ainoa Ruiz earned the solo title with a three-round score of 217 (+1). 

RESULTS

• Ashley Nelson closed with a 76 (+4) in the final round to secure a 10th-place finish, compiling a three-round total of 227 (+11) with eight birdies.
• Aubrie Medford followed with a round three result of 80 (+8), which tied her for 46th place after her three-round total of 252 (+36) while carding four birdies across the tournament. 
• Kyleigh Gibson recorded a 90 (+18) during her third round, rounding out her three-round total to a 272 (+56) which placed her in 56th. 
• Hailey Westmoreland rounded out the Warhawks with a round three score of 93 (+21), which put her tied for 60th after a three-round total of 280 (+62). 

UP NEXT
The Warhawks will travel to Columbus, Georgia to take place in the Lady Cougar Classic which will begin on Monday, March 30th.
