COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's golf team opened its final regular-season tournament at the Lady Cougar Classic. The event was hosted by Columbus State University at the Green Island Country Club in Columbus, Georgia.
The team leading the tournament after the first two rounds is No. 25 West Florida with a score of 609 (+33). The individual leading the tournament is Montevallo's Polly McCrackin, tallying a 147 (+3).
RESULTS
- Ashley Nelson guided the Warhawks and posted a two-round total of 167 (+23) to end tied for 45th.
- Aubrie Medford trailed closely and secured a tie for 48th with a 168 (+24) across two rounds.
- Kyleigh Gibson turned in a 175 (+31), which landed her tied for 60th place.
- Hailey Westmoreland closed out the lineup with a 179 (+35) and finished 65th.
As a team, the Warhawks closed out the day in 11th place overall with a total of 689 (+113) over two rounds.
The tournament will conclude with the third round on Tuesday, March 31.
