The pair become the latest Warhawks to receive one of the highest honors in collegiate softball after delivering standout campaigns that played a major role in AUM's success throughout the 2026 season. Baynes continued to rewrite the program and conference record books while serving as the catalyst atop the lineup, while Cauley emerged as one of Division II's top pitchers and anchored the Warhawks inside the circle. Together, the duo helped lead AUM during a season highlighted by a conference title push and postseason run.

NFCA Second Team All-American | D2 CCA Second Team All-American
Baynes, a 2024 NFCA and D2 CCA All-American, capped off a historic senior season by once again earning NFCAÂ and D2 CCA All-America recognition after setting the tone for the Warhawks offense from the leadoff spot. Starting all 56 games in center field, she finished the year batting .450 with a Gulf South Conference-leading 85 hits and 48 stolen bases. She also ranked among the conference leaders in on-base percentage (.516), runs scored (56), triples (5) and walks (26).

Already among the most decorated players in program history entering the season, Baynes continued adding to her legacy in 2026. She became the first player in AUM history to record 300 career hits while also establishing new program career records for hits and stolen bases. Baynes concluded her collegiate career as the Gulf South Conference's all-time hits leader.

Defensively, Baynes remained a reliable presence in center field, totaling 104 putouts and a .972 fielding percentage across 56 starts. She also collected GSC Player of the Week honors and was named to the NFCA Division II Player of the Year Watch List.

Reese Cauley
NFCA Second Team All-American | D2 CCA Third Team All-American
Cauley established herself as one of Division II softball's premier pitchers during her sophomore campaign, leading the Warhawks in the circle throughout the season. The Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Year posted a 28-4 record with a 1.69 ERA over 207 innings while striking out 171 batters and limiting opponents to a .190 batting average.

The sophomore made 32 starts and surpassed the 200-inning mark, playing a major role in AUM's regular-season and postseason success. She also recorded multiple shutouts and consistently delivered in key situations throughout the year.

In addition to her work in the circle, Cauley contributed offensively with a .257 batting average, six home runs and 23 RBI while splitting time between pitcher and designated player. She added a .457 slugging percentage and provided several timely extra-base hits throughout the season.
