MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery student-athletes continued to make a positive impact in the community throughout the 2025-26 academic year, contributing 1,189 hours of community service through volunteer efforts across the River Region.
 
Nearly 80 percent of student-athletes participated in community service during the year, while six teams recorded 100 percent participation in community service initiatives.
 
Throughout the year, AUM student-athletes volunteered with organizations and initiatives across the Montgomery community, supporting efforts focused on civic and community engagement as well as children and youth. Their service included work with the Central Alabama Aging Consortium, Buckmasters, the YMCA, Dream Court, MGMRuns and AUM Athletics gameday initiatives, as well as support for the MA/Warhawk XC Invitational.
 
Baseball led the way among AUM's teams with 327 hours of service, while women's soccer recorded the highest total among the department's women's programs with 145.25 hours.
 
The Warhawks' commitment to community engagement also earned national recognition, as AUM ranked No. 33 among NCAA Division II institutions for community service.
