MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (2-0-0) rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat the University of Tampa Spartans (0-1-1) 2-1 on Saturday night at the AUM Soccer Stadium.
Prior to the match, nine Warhawks were honored for their dedication and contributions to the AUM men's soccer program throughout their careers. The seniors recognized were:Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Tampa struck first in the 40th minute when Manuel Carmona found the back of the net off an assist from Dagur Hafthorsson to give the Spartans a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.

Second Half
AUM responded in the second half, with
Benjamin Hoffmann finding the equalizer in the 66th minute.
Fabio Guerreiro provided the assist on Hoffmann's first goal of the season.

The Warhawks then took the lead in the 82nd minute when a Tampa own goal gave AUM a 2-1 advantage.

AUM's defense held the Spartans scoreless over the final nine minutes to secure the comeback victory.

- AUM finished with a 12-10 advantage in shots and put six shots on target compared to three for Tampa.
