MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Junior Chloe Helms of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Wednesday morning. 

Helm's Performance 
Helms opened her Division II career in impressive fashion, pacing the Warhawks at the Queen City Invite on Friday evening, racing at the McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.  

The Eufaula, Alabama native, finished the women's 5k in 26th place in a competitive field of 222 runners, crossing the finish line in 18:32.00. Her time ranks as the second-fastest 5K in AUM women's cross country program history and the second-fastest collegiate cross country 5K of her career. 

She was also the second Division II athlete across the finish line, helping the Warhawks place second among all Division II teams competing at the meet. Helms contributed 24 points to AUM's team score as the Warhawks finished seventh overall with 226 points in the 26-team field. 

Helms led the Warhawks' five scoring runners by 62 seconds, finishing more than a minute ahead of AUM's second runner, Lena Parker, who placed 54th overall with a time of 19:34.00.

Helms and the Warhawks will be back in action on Friday, September 18, at the Montevallo Classic in Montevallo, Alabama, with the race set for 7:30 p.m. CT.
