MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer team (3-3-2; GSC: 1-2) picked up a 2-0 victory over Christian Brothers University (1-6-0; GSC: 0-3) Saturday evening at AUM Soccer Stadium, getting goals from Chloe Moore and Jenna Buice to secure the home win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
AUM controlled the early stages of the match, earning a corner in the 13th minute before Chloe Wallace recorded the Warhawks' first shot, which went wide left. Wallace continued to pressure the Christian Brothers defense, adding three more attempts over the next seven minutes, including a shot on target in the 19th minute that was saved by Buccaneers goalkeeper Kaylee Allen.
After CBU registered its first shot in the 22nd minute, AUM answered moments later with another corner before breaking through in the 24th minute.
Chloe Moore put the Warhawks on the board in the 24th minute, scoring her first goal of the season on a header off assists from Bella Ingstrom and Jenna Buice.
Christian Brothers goalkeeper Allen made another save on Eva Hendriks in the 27th minute, while Leslie Azouer stopped a shot before the half-hour mark to preserve AUM's lead. The Warhawks continued to generate chances late in the half, including attempts from Isabella Nieves and Beatrice Sales, while Azouer added another save in the 44th minute. Christian Brothers had one final shot in the closing seconds, but it missed wide, sending AUM into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Second Half
The Warhawks wasted little time adding to their lead, as Buice doubled AUM's advantage just 12 seconds into the second half with her first goal of the season, assisted by Gabby Benavidez, who recorded her second assist of the year.
Christian Brothers responded with a pair of shots in the opening six minutes, but both missed the mark. AUM continued to pressure the Buccaneers as Benavidez recorded three attempts in a four-minute span.
Christian Brothers created another opportunity in the 58th minute, but Azouer made a save to keep CBU off the board. The Warhawks continued to control the pace, with Buice and Chloe Wallace adding shots. Christian Brothers pushed forward late, recording two more shots in the final six minutes, but both missed the mark as AUM held on for the 2-0 victory.
