KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches released the latest edition of its 2026 NCAA Division II men's soccer poll Tuesday, with the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 1 in the South Region.
 
The Warhawks climbed three spots nationally from No. 10 in last week's poll and held the top spot in the South Region following a 2-0 week against Gulf South Conference opponents. The No. 7 national ranking marks the best the Warhawks have seen since its No. 5 ranking in 2024.
 
CLEAN SHEET CONFERNCE WEEK
AUM opened the week with a 3-0 road victory over Spring Hill on Wednesday. The Warhawks outshot the Badgers 16-4 and recorded 10 shots on goal. Fabio Guerreiro opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with his first goal as a Warhawk before Sean O'Donnell doubled the lead in the 64th minute with his second goal of the season. Brennan Greer added his first goal as a Warhawk in the 76th minute, while Jaden McKree and Harrington Arnette each recorded an assist. Jakob Buhrkuhl made two saves to record his third shutout of the season.
 
The Warhawks returned home Saturday and secured a 1-0 victory over Christian Brothers. Mikayil Bacar Said scored the game's lone goal early in the contest for his first of the season, with Benjamin Hoffmann providing the assist to bring his season total to two. AUM finished with six shots and three shots on goal, while holding a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. Buhrkuhl made four saves to preserve his fourth shutout of the season.
 
The two victories moved AUM to 6-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in GSC play, giving the Warhawks three consecutive conference victories. AUM has also recorded four shutouts through its first seven matches.
 
 
 
UP NEXT
The Warhawks return to action on Wednesday, September 23, traveling to Montevallo, Alabama, for a Gulf South Conference matchup against the Falcons. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
