CAREER ACCOLADES & RECORDS:

• Owns the second-fastest 10K time in school history (32:14.4 - 2023 NCAA South Region Championships)
• Owns the ninth-fastest 10K time in school history (33:45.6 - 2022 NCAA South Region Championships)
• Owns the fourth-fastest 5K time in school history (16:00.70 - 2023 Foothills Invitational)

2023: Helped lead AUM to a fifth-place team finish at the GSC Championships…part of a squad that made six appearances in USTFCCCA’s weekly South Region rankings and finished the year ranked No. 8 in the region…also helped lead AUM to its highest-ever finish at the NCAA South Region Championships (8th)…raced in all six competitions for AUM…ran a 25:45.0 8K, his career-best, at the Southern Showcase…Broke 26 minutes twice for AUM, and finished 30th at the GSC Championships and 44th at the regional championships.

2022: Raced in all six meets for AUM...named to the GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll...finished fourth on the team to help the Warhawks to a sixth-place finish at the Gulf South Conference Championships in Montevallo, Ala. with a personal-best 8K time of 26:36.4...followed that with a personal record in the 10K at the NCAA Division II South Regional meet, as his time of 33:45.6 was good for second on the team and third-best all-time on the AUM 10K performance list.

2021: Was named to the Gulf South Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll…competed in four meets for AUM…posted a season-high 22nd-place finish at the Falcon Classic with an 8K time of 28:17.10…logged a season-best 8K time of 27:50.50 at the Charger Invite on Oct. 9.

PREP: Lettered in both cross country and track and field for six seasons at Faith Academy in Mobile, Ala.…was an All-State selection in both 2019 and 2020…earned All-County and All-Section honors from 2018-2020 while also being named to the 2020 AHSAA All-Star Team…posted personal-record times of 16:38 in the 5K, 4:38 in the 1,600-meter run, and 10:12 in the 3,200-meter run, all of which rank second best in school history.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Connor John Michael Stoots…was born on December 25, 2002…is the son of Kevin and Jolene Stoots…has an older brother, Myles, who currently runs cross country and track and field at East Tennessee State University…his father, Kevin ran cross country and track and field at South Alabama and his mother, Jolene, ran cross country and track and field at the University of Mobile.
