2018 [Junior]: Played in 15 matches for AUM, with 12 starts to his credit … finished the year with 1,086 minutes of playing time, with three game in which he accumulated 90 or more minutes of action … led the Warhawks with eight points and three goals … scored his first goal for the Warhawks against Palm Beach Atlantic on Sept. 9 … took a season-high three shots, with two on goal, at Milligan College on Sept. 15, a game in which he also found the back of the net … tallied his first AUM assist against Delta State on Oct. 19.

Prior To AUM: Murphy comes to AUM from Genesee Community College in Batavia, N.Y., where he helped lead the Cougars to a NJCAA D-III men's soccer national title in 2017. Murphy played in 21 games with 16 starts to his credit. He tallied 12 goals and eight assists in 2017, including an assist on the equalizer in the national championship game against Richland College with his team down 1-0. He was fourth on the team in goals scored with a game-winner against Finger Lakes Community College on Oct. 11, 2017. Murphy was also named the NJCAA National Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9-15. GCC went 20-2-1 in his one season with the Cougars.
 
Prep: Attended Stanley Park High School in Surrey where he played for coach Ian Hazel before graduating 2014.
 
Personal: The son of Anthony Murphy and Christine Witty, Billy has one sister, Charlotte Murphy.
