Alexis Arriaga enters his second season as the assistant men's soccer coach for the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks.

A former Warhawk standout on the soccer field, Arriaga was a four-year member of the Auburn University at Montgomery soccer program from 2016 through 2019. He was a Dean's List selection each year and appeared in 66 career games with 35 starts. He tallied 16 total points, including seven goals and two assists, and logged over 3,400 minutes on the pitch.

Assisted by Arriaga, the Warhawks went 7-4-6 overall and 6-3-2 in GSC play. The fourth seed in the conference tournament, AUM edged CBU in penalty kicks in the quarterfinal round to earn the program's third consecutive trip to the semifinals. Goalkeeper William Blake earned First Team All-GSC honors, while Charlie Elliott and Nick Atkinson earned spots on the Second Team. Sean Keane and Brayden Strait each earned a place on the GSC All-Tournament team, while Cole Farrior, Logan Roach, and Blake were named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team. 

The 2023 campaign saw Blake put together one of the most decorated seasons by a goalkeeper in school history. Blake garnered First Team All-GSC honors, D2 CCA First Team All-Region honors, Second Team All-South Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches, and United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American Second Team accolades. He led the conference in goals against average (.723) and save percentage (.823) and also led the South Region in save percentage and ranked second in the region in goals against average. Blake ranked Top 25 in NCAA Division II in save percentage (13th), goals against average (16th), and shutouts (25th).

He also earned a spot on the GSC All-Academic Team with a .378 GPA in entrepreneurship to earn a place on the GSC All-Academic Team and spearheaded an AUM defense that held opponents to one goal or less in 15 of its 17 matches. The Mobile, Alabama native yielded just 11 goals and notched 51 saves. Blake finished the season ranked in a tie for seventh in shutouts (six) and fourth in goals-against average (0.72) on the AUM single-season record chart.

Arriaga re-joins the Warhawk family after serving as the assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College. While with the Reivers, Arriaga helped lead and execute team training, was responsible for helping coach the forwards, and led group and individual technical sessions and meetings. He also assisted in recruiting, serving as a contact point with MLS NEXT academies. 

Arriaga played a critical role in individual player development, was in charge of set pieces and scouting reports, and assisted with all other facets of the program. 

Prior to joining the Reivers, Arriaga spent time at fellow Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) institution Indian Hills Community College. While at IHCC, Arriaga helped the team to a 12-9-1 overall record and a No. 18 national ranking. He assisted the program in the recruitment and development of an All-American, eight All-Region players, and a Region XI player of the year from a scouting network that reached 15 different countries. 

The Warriors captured the 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI championship, and Arriaga played a pivotal role in planning and executing team training, small group functional & individual technical sessions, scouting reports, meetings, budgeting, and fundraising for the program.

Arriaga also spent time as a graduate assistant for the Iowa Lakes Community College men's soccer program in Estherville, IA, where he helped the Lakers to its most successful season in program history under head coach Ben MacRae.

The Lakers finished third at the NJCAA DI National Tournament in the spring 2021 season and closed the campaign with a 12-5-1 record.

He also spent the past two years on the coaching staff of the Ocean City Nor'easters of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) League Two, a semi-professional developmental soccer league, where he helped the squad to the 2022 and 2023 Mid-Atlantic Division titles.

Arriaga received his undergraduate degree in International Economics and has his United States Soccer "D" License.
