Biography

2022: Helped the Warhawks reach the GSC semifinals...named to the GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll...named Second Team All-GSC and United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-South Region...tied for the team lead in goal with six, and also registered one assist...played over 1,161 minutes, started 13 games, and played in all 17 games...took 25 shots, of which 10 came on goal...punched in two game-winning goals for the Warhawks.

2021: Was named to the All-GSC Second Team…garnered GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll honors…played in 19 games, with 17 starts to his credit…took a team-high 35 shots, with 16 shots on goal … posted nine points, with four goals and one assist…scored a pair of game-winning goals, including the game-winning penalty kick in double overtime to send the Warhawks past West Alabama 1-0 in the GSC quarterfinals.

2020-21: Earned 2021 Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team honors…was named to the 2021 GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll...started and played in all five matches…took 12 shots and a team-best five shots on goal…led the Warhawks with eight points…scored a team-high three goals and dished out a pair of assists…punched in the game-winning goal in the 100th minute of the Warhawks' 2-1 overtime victory over UAH on March 6.

2019: Played in 13 matches, with 10 starts…took 19 shots, with eight on goal…finished second on the team with a pair of assists…scored two goals…notched a season-high three points, with a goal and an assist, in a 4-1 win over Georgia Southwestern on Sept. 18.

2018: Appeared in 15 matches for AUM, earning the starting nod in 14…accumulated 1,185 minutes of playing time, with 90 or more minutes of action in seven contests…led the Warhawks with four assists and 31 shots taken, while finishing second on the squad with six points...scored his first collegiate goal, the game-winner in double overtime, at Shorter on Sept. 23…assisted on the game-winning goal in double overtime against GSC foe Delta State on Oct. 19…took a season-high six shots, with three on goal, against Spring Hill on Sept. 30

PREP: Comes to AUM from Niederkrüchten, North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany, where he attended Gymnasium St. Wolfhelm. He played for the FC Mönchengladbach for the past two years. While playing with the FC Mönchengladbach U17 his team reached the Bundesliga, Germany's highest national youth league, then while playing with the U19 they reached the Niederrheinliga, the second-highest national youth league.
 
 PERSONAL: The son of Heinz-Gerd and Karin Spickenbaum, Phillip has one sister, Lena...majoring in business.
