[2020 Short Season]: Started four games for the Orange & Black in the shortened 2020 season, making an appearance in 18 total contests… netted one RBI at the plate in her fourth season at AUM and was a perfect 2-2 in stolen bases.

2019 [Junior]: Appeared in 46 games for the Warhawks in her first season, starting 34 of them… slugged three home runs and drove in 18 runs during her junior season… stole four bases in five attempts in 2019… hit .264 with four extra-base hits… had a three-hit, five-RBI night on Feb. 16 against GSC opponent West Alabama.

Prior To AUM: Comes to AUM from Wallace State Community College in Hanceville where she played for coach A.J. Daugherty for one season ... During her time the WSCC the Lions won the Alabama Community College Conference's championship this past season, going 47-13 overall and 29-2 in conference play ... Was named to the NJCAA Region 22 All-Tournament team, hitting for a .362 clip last season. She also posted a slugging percentage of .546 and an on base percentage of .414, tallying 35 runs batted in and four home runs.
 
Prep: Was an all-state first team selection for Gardendale High School and head coach Barry Brake in 2016. Burns also helped lead GHS to the 6A Area 12 Championship in 2015 ... A two-time area all-tournament selection … Also spent four years playing for Prospex travel ball team.
 
Personal: The daughter of Daren and Jennifer Burns … Has an older sister, Mary Catherine (26) and an older brother, Carter (23) ... Her father Daren played for four years with Birmingham Southern before spending two-and-a-half years with the Chicago Cubs ... Majoring in nursing with a minor in psychology.
