CAREER ACCOLADES & RECORDS:
- Owns the fifth-fastest 6K time in school history (23:05.6 - 2023 NCAA South Region Championships)
- 2023 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team selection
2023: Helped lead AUM to its second consecutive Top-5 team finish at the GSC Championships…part of a squad that made two appearances in USTFCCCA’s weekly South Region rankings…also helped lead AUM to its highest-ever finish at the NCAA South Region Championships (11th)…ran in all six races for the Warhawks…rounded out her freshman campaign by finishing in the scoring five in all six of the team’s races…raced a 19:21.1 5K at the GSC Championships…posted a 23:05.6 6K race at the region championship, the fifth-fastest time at that distance in school history.
PREP: Four-year letterwinner in cross country and track and field for the Red Devils of Central High School and coach Greg Ojendyk...holds the Central HS 5K record since 2019...was also a school record holder in the mile and the 3200m race from 2018-2022...was selected to the All-Star South Team and was all Bi-City in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021...was an All-State selection in 2019.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jason and Megan Burkes...has one brother, William Capps, and one sister, Ansley...majoring in biology.
