Spencer Valdespino joined the AUM staff as the women's soccer graduate assistant coach in August of 2016 and enters her second year with the program.
Valdespino joins the Warhawks following a four-year playing career at NCAA Division I Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where she earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication and journalism.

A four-year starter for the Colonels, Valdespino holds the career record in numerous statistical categories, including points, points per game, goals, goals per game, game-winning goals, shots attempted, shots per game and shots on goal per game. In 2013, Valdespino garnered numerous accolades including Southland Conference Player of the Year, Louisiana Sports Writer Association Player of the Year and was a three-time Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week. She led the conference in shots, shots per game, points, points per game, goals and goals per game that season.Â

Valdespino is a native of Spring Hill, Fla., where she graduated from Bishop McLaughlin High School in 2012.
